This guide provides a comprehensive overview of our children swimming curriculum, designed to take students from their first splashes to competitive-level proficiency.
Beginner
The First Splash
- We transform “fear of the water” into “love of the water”.
- Building a foundation of water safety and physical coordination that lasts a lifetime
- Curriculum focuses on :
- – Water Acclimatization : Safely enter and exit the pool using steps or the side. Introduction to face-submersion and rhythmic breathing.
– Buoyancy & Balance : Learning how the body floats and practicing balance using a kickboard.
– The survival foundation : Safely putting the face and head under the water to float and recover to a standing position.
– Initial Propulsion : The very first kicks and arm reaches that lead to independent swimming. - The First Splash program is a kids aged 4 and above.
Intermediate
Stroke Development
- Introduction of the proper swim strokes
- This program is ideal for young swimmers who have overcome their fear of water and are ready to coordinate their arm and leg movements.
- Curriculum focuses on :
- Mastering the techniques of the two most popular strokes; Freestyle and Breaststroke. It also introduces water safety skills in the deeper sections of the pool.
- What swimmers will achieve in the Intermediate Stage.
- Swimmers will strive to swim 50 meters of Freestyle with side-breathing and 50 meters of Breaststroke with proper form.
Advanced
Stroke Refinement & Endurance
- Evolving from Swimmer to Athlete
- Designed for those seeking to perfect their technique, build explosive power, and master the competitive side of the sport.
- Curriculum focuses on :
- Mastery of the “Big Four” strokes.
- What swimmers will achieve in the Advanced Stage.
- Swimmers will strive to complete a 200 meter Individual Medley – 50 meters each of Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle- with proper starts and turns, fully adhering to competition standards.
Which Level Suits My Child Best ?
Beginner : Unable to submerge the head or swim independently.
Intermediate : Can float and swim 5 – 10 meters independently but lacks “proper” stroke technique.
Advanced : Can comfortably swim a full lap of the pool and is eager to learn all four strokes.
